I have decided to focus on portraits, as described in our syllabus; and, if possible, also social documentary photography. I am most interested in exploring these two genres. I also feel like I will not be completely satisfied with just the portraiture; and I really love the social documentary theme. So, I hope to focus on both themes. If that is o.k. with you Jerry??
Yes... that is a challenging subject but potentially much more engaging than still life shots... One good thing to do is to engage the folks you are photographing and get them to participate in the making of the photo.... Do you have access to any social service agency or at risk populations?
